5 Things To Do During Spring Break

Writer's picture: Angela McDonaldAngela McDonald

As spring break is right around the corner, you may be thinking to yourself, “Wow, I want to have a fun spring break!” I'm a spring baby, born in April, so if that's you, you are reading the right article!

  1. Specialize your garden - Spring is generally the best season of the year to garden! If you’re into vegetables, you may want to grow carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, or turnips. If you’re a fruity person, you may want to grow cucumbers, strawberries, or even mango if you’re up for a challenge.

  1. Create flower bouquets - when temperatures warm up, flowers start to bloom, and they look beautiful. Why not pick some flowers or potentially even purchase flowers to gift yourself or your friends something special? You could also bring you’re creativity into creating flower crowns!

  1. Prepare for Easter - Painting and dying eggs are an essential part of Easter. You can even create your own Easter basket by painting or decorating it. This is especially fun with friends and family.

  1. Get cozy outdoors and enjoy a picnic - During the winter, picnics just don't hit as much as they do in the spring. Imagine yourself eating strawberries with melted chocolate while smelling aromatic flowers… Sounds like heaven, right? There are various types of foods you can bring to a picnic, such as croissant sandwiches, a charcuterie board, fruit, and pastries.

  1. Make or bake your favorite spring treats - Acai bowls, cookies, lemon loaves, pies, strawberry cheesecake, and tiramisu are just some of the popular spring treats that you can attempt to make! You can also decorate it with a spring theme for a more aesthetic style.
