Over the course of this year, there have been some ups and downs in fashion and food trends. This list might be controversial to some, but here are the best trends of 2024:
#1 Chunky gold jewelry
This accessory might be seen as maximalist by others, but in my opinion, this is definitely my first choice of jewelry when going for a “basic” look. Gold pairs with any outfit. There are many abstract designs when it comes to chunky gold jewelry, but I can see both the maximalist and minimalist look of this jewelry style.
#2 Sambas, Gazelles, and Spezials (Adidas)
Wow, just looking at the color palette of some of these shoes amazes me. I get various different vibes from these shoes. Vintage, old school, and even clean. If you’re looking forward to investing in this shoe style, I recommend speaking with Adam Ruderman about it.
#3 Leopard Print
Some will say this is just another fast-fashion animal trend, such as the cow, the mustache, and the zebra print. This trend must be the most popular across social media by far as it prints on shoes, jeans, coats, dresses, and even belts.
Now, moving on from fashion, let's get into food trends that come across as either delicious or a flop.
#1 Dubai Chocolate
When I first saw this, I was quite skeptical, but now, knowing that it is a chocolate with pistachio filling, I’d give it a 10. I have yet to try this, but many say that it is a perfect balance of nutty and chocolatey.
#2 Cucumber salad
This has to be the healthiest trend we have all of 2024. Not only is it quick and easy, but all it takes is one cucumber and a couple of condiments from your fridge. This trend came across an influencer on TikTok not too long ago and went viral for the flavorful combinations a single cucumber can have. Cut up a cucumber, put in some seasoning, throw it into a container, shake it, and do it.
#3 Tanghulu
A street food/snack originating in China, quite dangerous to make and risks cavities, makes its way to be a sweet dessert in 2024. It includes melted sugar (at boiling point) and some fruit on a skewer to dip into sugar and freeze. I’m only putting this on the list for the taste, NOT the hard experience of getting burns from boiling sugar.
#4 Crumbl Cookies
Alright, this last one is VERY controversial, but hear me out; although one cookie has about 800-1000 calories, I’d give the “most creative flavors” award to Crumbl Cookies. This whole year, Crumbl has released around 200 cookie flavors. Even with so many flavors, my favorite is still the basic semi-chocolate chip cookie.
YES YES YES CRUMBL COOKIE4 LIFE❤️
