Broken Car

Writer: Kali CalleroKali Callero

I am no more lovable than a broken car.

Either constantly burdened by trying to fix the repairs,

or used and discarded like clothes you outwear.

Eventually, you’ll notice how much is wrong

and how little is salvageable after so long.

I do not wish to be a burden that you must mend,

I merely wanted to be loved until the end.

But I understand I am a broken car.

Not worth the repair so you leave without a care.
