Finding Patience

Find patience for your parents,

for it’s their first time living, too.

Find patience for your teenagers,

for they are figuring out who they are,

while figuring everything else out.

Find patience for your little children,

for they only feel emotion.

Find patience for your friends,

for they are learning how to be a friend, too.

Find patience for your teachers.

For they didn’t need to be one,

but their choice was to do so.

Find patience for that driver,

for it could be their first time learning,

Find patience for that worker,

for it could be their first day.

Find patience for that stranger,

for they could be having a bad week.

And find patience for yourself.

Because with everything you have

and everything you don’t,

you will always have you.
