This vlog offers a peek into the Hakalau Interim experience! 16 students and 3 teachers had the opportunity to visit the Hakalau Forest Refuge located on the slope of Mauna Kea. This video captures part of our trip, including our long, bumpy ride to the refuge and a group of us planting 13 Māmane trees in memory of Jessica Sprinkle. It also showcases our fun staying at the cabin, such as the dinner crew preparing pasta together, sunrise bird watching, and group hikes through the forest. Along the way, our awesome tour guide took us to visit a 1,200-year-old tree and a haunted cabin! I hope you enjoy this short look into what made our interim such a unique and memorable experience.
