It’s that time of the month when the weather gets chilly, leaves turn orangish-brown, and all you can smell is pumpkin lattes, you know it’s about to be the best season of the year.

Fall is the beginning of everything. School starts, volleyball games, football games, or even cross country meets every other week, and even homecoming is present for most high schools. For our school, fall barbecue is one of the exciting events to look forward to. We get to compete with other classes, eat barbecue food, hang out with family and friends, and even see what the bull is for the school year! Not only that but fall also turns into a spooky season! Halloween is right around the corner where you get to dress up, trick or treat with friends, carve pumpkins, and get startled by haunted houses! Who wouldn’t love that?

Don’t even get me started on the fall menu for Starbucks. The pumpkin cream chai, apple crisp shaken espresso, and even the pumpkin latte just give off a spark of fall and coziness. To top it off, ordering a cream cheese pumpkin muffin or a raccoon cake pop really is delightful.

You may ask what my favorite part of fall is and I would simply answer that by saying the weather. Not only does the atmosphere turn cozy, the weather is the perfect balance of warm and chilly. During the summer, you are dying of heat and during the winter, you die of freezing weather. The fall has the perfect combo. It rains, it’s sunny, but the weather will always stay 50/50 when it comes to being hot or cold. The clothing for fall is perfect too. You wear scarves, sweaters, uggs, so many options! We can even talk about how aesthetically pleasing nature is in the fall. The trees have a mix of colors of brown, yellow, and orange, the leaves are crunchy on the ground, and the scent of the outdoors is so calming.

For all of these reasons, you must agree that fall is the BEST season of the year.
