The forest's heart

Writer: Hana MahmoodHana Mahmood

In the heart of the forest, where shadows sigh,

My emotions, a storm beneath the sky.

Why can't they flow like the river's grace?

Instead, they linger, refusing to chase.

Hidden deep, I plead for release,

Yet they cling to me, they never cease.

From loathing to longing, they wildly sway,

A tumult of feelings that never stray.

Oh, emotions, you're a relentless tide,

Dragging me under, where secrets hide.

Kindness whispers, a silent plea,

But fear grips me tight, refusing to flee.

In another life, perhaps we'd find,

A love untamed, leaving doubt behind.

But for now, I'm trapped in this forest's embrace,

Yearning for freedom, seeking grace.
