Why Oh Why & Passing By

Writer's picture: Aria SmithAria Smith

Her

I wish he would say hi,

I wish he would just stop by.

In a perfect world, I wouldn’t have to try.

Maybe if I close my eyes,

Here, next to me, in my dreams, he will lie

But then I wake up and start to cry,

I try to deny,

That he passed me by.

Him

I turn my head,

And start to think.

My finger could flick,

My light would blink.

I could turn,

And be with you quick.

And yet I don’t,

Because I can’t.

This causes pain,

A longing sense.

My heart it yearns,

To hear your peaceful breath.
